In no particular order:
1. Look at Yaya Dub's classy-but-not-frumpy dress. Isn't modesty beautiful? Some clothes reveal too much skin and may distract your date, but modesty reveals your intelligence and awesome personality, and those are more attractive ;)
2. Shake hands? Holding hands? Hugs? Yaya Dub and Alden have shown that those can wait, and that they could have a great time even when there's "no touch".
3. A man's respect for his lady should extend to the lady's parents. A man has got to prove he's worthy of their daughter's time and attention (and perhaps eventually, of her love and affection).
4. Infatuated people should listen to their more rational family members who can objectively see the bigger picture. They may seem to be "too strict" right now, but you will thank them later for being so.
5. Traditional does not mean outdated. Some things that worked before still work now, like Filipino traditional courtship. The ALDUB phenomenon has proven that deep inside, we Pinoys still yearn for a chaste courtship, which is a good foundation of a possible marriage someday.
6. The harder the challenges, the sweeter the victory.
7. First dates are not always flawless. But it's the bloopers that make them memorable. It also also allows you to show how well you deal with difficult or otherwise awkward situations.
8. Trust is something difficult if not impossible to regain once it's lost. So if you've been given a chance to regain it, don't waste it.
9. Just be yourself on dates. The right guy will like you for you.
10. Family over date. Next to God, our family should always be our top priority. Dates come and go, but our family won't ever leave us behind.
BONUS (10.5): Kudos to the writer/s of Kalyeserye, they were able to remove the negative connotation of the terms "first base, second base", etc. in dating. Instead of making it our goal to make sexual advances during the dating and courtship period, our goal should be to keep our love pure and real every step of the way <3
